My mistake: my server sends everything has text/html
—and I don’t have the technical knowledge to change it.
File extensions are an aberration. I should be able to have a nude_penguin.like-it file which is indeed a JPEG. Or, if you prefer, a XHTML document with the .html extension.
But that would be all too easy…
Both Opera 9.10 and Firefox 3 prealpha[1] give the pages a special treatment depending on its file extension. First, this is ugly; second, I don’t want to know what’s going on with file without any extension at all. Take a look… ➡
